K1 is for cold forging applications where precise result is required. The part is formed at room temperature so K1 is typically used for straightening and finishing pre-fabricated die casting parts. Typical cold forging parts are crankshafts, camshafts, and gear shafts for automotive components. Through cold forging process the parts are achieved in near net shape quality or near finished state.
K1 forging press is equipped with “knuckle-joint” lever mechanism. The lever design allows the slide motion to proportionally increase the work force while slide low down during working part of the die, which produce higher surface finish and near finished parts, which increase customer’s productivity.
To optimize customer’s forging production, CFG can provide turnkey system integration with automation systems per customer’s request.
